Oleg Tsirkounov, owner and head trainer of Advanced Hockey Training, grew up in the Ukraine where he learned the importance of skill development. He played for Sokol Kiev and Team Ukraine. Coach Oleg played in the 1994 and 1996 World Championships where he was scouted by the New York Islanders who later invited him to their training camp. Oleg played Major Junior Hockey in the OHL with the Owen Sound Platters and went on to play four years professionally in the CHL with the Columbus Cottonmouths, Topeka Scarecrows, Memphis River Kings, Oklahoma City Blazers, Macon Whoopee and Wichita Thunder. Coach Oleg tutored in Turcotte Stickhandling program for 3 years. This has made Oleg an excellent stickhandling instructor. Coach Oleg helped launch the successful Ice Jets Youth Hockey Association in Dallas, Texas where he trained and coached teams from 2002-2006. Coach Oleg says, “I love to see kids develop their individual skills in practice and watch them succeed by putting those skills to use in a game setting. Having a great work ethic is what I look most for in a player, and it is never too late to learn.” Coach Oleg holds Level 4 certification by the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program. Currently, Mr. Tsirkounov coaches the ’97 and 2001 Sokol Kiev Youth Hockey Teams in Kiev, Ukraine. Oleg continues to play professionally on Kompanion Kiev in the Ukraine Championship League. Stan Tugolukov is
from Chelyabinsk, Russia where he played youth hockey in the USSR System.
In 1986, Coach Stan played for the USSR National Junior Hockey Team in
the World Junior Tournament in Canada and was named the MVP of the tournament.
Coach Stan was a memer of the Russian National Team during the pre-Olympic
game series against the United States National Olympic team in 1993.
He played in the Russian Super League for 11 years for teams including
Metallurg, Tractor and Mechel. During his pro career he continued his
formal hockey education studying at the Ural State Academy of Physical
Education. He has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Ice Hockey. After retiring from Pro Hockey
in 1998, Coach Stan was the Executive Director of the Department of Junior
Ice Hockey Development for the Ural Region Ice Hockey Federation in Russia
for two years where he developed some of the top Junior Players. Stan holds
Level 4 certification by the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program. Stan
says, “My teaching methods combine European
and North American ice hockey styles. The primary emphasis is made on
development of the technique of power skating, puck shooting, stick control,
rapid thinking and speed/strength endurance gained as a result of specially
designed on and off-ice training routines. I am very happy to be involved
with Advanced Hockey Training. I strongly believe that our players will
demonstrate outstanding hockey results and will grow into disciplined,
confident and successful athletes.” |
